The Lawn/Yard:
- Mow the lawn a day or two ahead of your scheduled photo session.
- Edge the lawn to define borders with walkways and garden beds.
- Water the lawn to maintain a lush, green appearance.
- Remove any clutter or debris from the lawn area.
- Elevate your lawn’s appearance by mowing at a diagonal or changing direction each time you mow.
- Neatly store hoses, toys, etc.
Flower Beds:
- Weed and mulch garden beds for a neat appearance.
- Prune any overgrown plants and deadhead flowers.
- Plant seasonal flowers to add vibrant color. (Adding potted plants will have the same effect, and can allow for more flexibility.)
- Arrange garden ornaments or features like birdbaths or sculptures.
Driveway and Sidewalk(s):
- Clean the driveway, removing oil stains and debris.
- Edge the driveway and walkways for a clean, finished look.
- Consider pressure washing for a refreshed appearance.
- Ensure the surrounding landscaping is well-maintained.
- Address any major cracks that could pose a safety issue.
Front Porch:
- Sweep and clean the porch thoroughly, including under the eaves.
- Arrange porch furniture, ensuring it looks inviting and well-kept.
- Add potted plants, hanging baskets, and a new welcome mat for a touch of color.
- Ensure the porch light is working and consider adding decorative lighting.
- Clean or paint your front door, as needed.
Deck or Patio:
- Power wash to remove dirt and grime.
- Stain or seal your deck if necessary to enhance its appearance.
- Replace deck boards as needed.
- Arrange outdoor furniture in a cozy, inviting manner.
- Add potted plants, lanterns, string lights, and outdoor rugs for ambiance.
Fencing and Gates:
- Repair any damaged sections of fencing or gates.
- Clean, paint, or stain the fence if needed for a fresh look.
- Trim any overgrown plants or hedges along the fence line.
- Clean the fence and ensure the gates work properly.
Pool Area:

Firepit:

- Tidy up any surrounding landscaping and trim overgrown plants.
- Add decorative elements like firewood stacks or lanterns.
Outdoor Living Spaces (i.e. Outdoor Kitcen, Gazebo, etc.):
- Clean and organize the space, removing any clutter.
- Ensure all appliances and fixtures are clean and in working order.
- Arrange furniture to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Add decorative touches like plants, cushions, or lighting.
Miscellaneous:
- Powerwash siding to remove dirt or mildew that has built up.
- Clean windows and window screens.
- Remove cobwebs from around doors, windows, and gutters.
- Clean gutters.
- Remove debris from roof.
- Paint or replace chimney cap, if needed.
- Ensure all exterior lights are working.
